I Wish You Well
I don't wish you ill.
I want you to be happy.
I just don't want to
hear all about your
newfound happiness.
Remember, I don't
wish you ill.
And, in fact, I want
you to be happy.
But you didn't want
to celebrate my
newfound happiness.
You refused to attend
my wedding.
You consider
my marriage to be
nothing but
an abomination;
a lustful, prideful,
sinful deception.
That's your right.
And I don't wish you ill.
I wish you well.
But don't expect me
to want to hear about
your new love interest
and your relationship
and your upcoming nuptials.
I do not have it in me.
