Too Much to Touch

I was
too accepting,
too loving,
too merciful,
too thoughtful
to be a part of
your church.
I asked
too many questions,
made you feel
too uncomfortable,
would potentially take
too much of your time.
So, "with all the love
in your hearts,"
you kicked me out
"for my own good."
You were
"too loving"
to accept me
as I was.
Your "dedication to Christ"
was too strong
to allow room
for me.
You were
too busy
"doing the Lord's work"
to actually be
a Christian.
