Music to My Ears: The Beauty of Living in a Fairly Small Town
I jump in my car at 3:30 p.m.
and head towards downtown
on a Sunday.
I arrive at 3:45 and park in the back
of the theatre
for free.
I walk in the front door,
purchase my $10 ticket with cash
and head inside to find a seat
for the 4:00 concert
in the general admission venue.
I grab a seat in the front row
with no problem
and settle in for the show.
I enjoy the big band's big sound
and head to the ladies' room
during the final song of the program
and encounter absolutely no wait
for a stall.
I drive home and experience
no chaotic traffic jams
of any kind
and arrive with a smile.
